ISO 14001

ISO 14001, in the same pack as quality and safety.

New accounts start with ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 ticked. Untick 14001 during setup if environment is not in scope. This is the environmental side of the same system, not a separate folder and not an add-on you have to discover later.

On by default

ISO 14001:2015 is the environmental leg of a quality, safety and environment system. Most tenders that ask for HSEQ expect all three. Starting with 14001 on means the environmental policy and clauses are there when a head contractor or council asks. If your work has no environmental scope, untick it. Nothing environmental is generated if you leave it off.

What gets written

An environmental policy signed by your most senior person, plus the environmental aspects that come out of your answers: waste and spoil disposal, chemical storage and spill response, noise near residents, work near waterways, and dust and emissions. It is written for the work you actually do, in the states you actually work in.

The ISO 14001:2015 clauses are also added to the internal audit, so the AI auditor scores environment alongside quality and safety instead of leaving a hole in the report.

What we are not

We are not a certification body and we do not issue JAS-ANZ certificates. If the tender wants a certificate, you still engage an accredited body and pay them for Stage 1 and Stage 2. This gets the system they audit into shape.
