We are not a certification body and we do not issue JAS-ANZ certificates. You still engage the body and pay them for Stage 1 and Stage 2.

When the client only asked for a WHS system

Some tenders say ISO. Some clients only say "send your WHS system". If you need the company-wide WHS management system without chasing a certificate this week, start there.

What the tender evaluator is really checking

Procurement teams score management systems on evidence, not adjectives. They want to see that a policy exists and is signed, that it is controlled, that you record incidents and act on them, that people are trained for the work, and that management looks at the whole thing regularly. A certificate is shorthand for all of that. Without one, you provide the evidence directly. That is a real pathway, and small businesses win work on it every week.

The pathway from tender to certificate

1. Build the documented system: policies, procedures and registers, all controlled.
2. Run it. Log hazards, incidents, training and evidence for real for a few months.
3. Run an internal audit against the clauses and raise CAPA for the gaps.
4. Hold a management review using the register numbers, and file the minutes.
5. Engage a JAS-ANZ accredited body. Stage 1 checks the documents, Stage 2 checks it runs.
6. Fix any nonconformities, receive the certificate, then annual surveillance audits.

Why 9001 and 45001 together

Both standards share the same ten-clause skeleton, so one set of registers, one internal audit and one management review satisfy both. Tenders that ask for one often ask for the other within a year. Building them as one integrated system now avoids duplicating the work later, and certification bodies price an integrated audit lower than two separate ones. ISO 14001 sits on the same spine if a client asks about environment.
